What is the Medical Therapy Program?

The CCS Medical Therapy Program (MTP) is a statewide program that provides occupational and physical therapy to children with certain medical conditions. We will work with you and your child to create individual goals and a therapy plan to work towards those goals.

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Durable Medical Equipment (DME) consultation
  • Home and school consultation

Where do we provide services?

There are five Medical Therapy Units located in schools in different parts of Alameda County.

Who manages the Alameda County Medical Therapy Program?

Pat Louie, Occupational Therapist
Chief Therapist

Pat began her career with CCS as a staff occupational therapist in Oakland. She is currently the Chief Therapist and manages the Medical Therapy Program in Alameda County.

Janice Darche, Physical Therapist
Assistant Chief Therapist

Janice is a physical therapist and has worked with CCS since 1986.  She enjoys reading and traveling when she is not working on CCS program development.
