Resource Guide for Alameda County Families
Looking for a home, help with child care or food in these tough times? Families can find the services they need in the Alameda County Resource Guide. This useful guide lists over 200 community programs that work with pregnant women and families raising children. It’s folded to a pocket size so you can carry it in your purse or wallet.
The guide covers Alameda County and provides phone numbers to apply for Medi-Cal, food stamps and cash aid, child care, help with domestic violence, free food, support for foster parents, health care, housing, legal services, substance abuse treatment, teen services, help with utility bills and more. The guide covers the entire Alameda County area. Updates are done annually by the Health Information Team and WIC Program of Alameda County Public Health Department.
Bulk copies of this revised pocket guide can be requested from WIC by calling (510) 595-6450. For single copies or corrections, please call the Health Information Team at 618-1990.
