The Emergency Medical Services Fund (SB12) is used to reimburse physicians, surgeons and hospitals for patients who do not pay for emergency medical services and for other emergency medical service purposes defined by existing legislation. The fund is allocated as follows: 58% - Physician Reimbursement 25% - Hospitals providing disproportionate trauma and emergency medical care 17% - County discretionary emergency medical services Ten percent of each portion of the fund is allocated for administrative costs.
