The Comprehensive Perinatal Service Program (CPSP) provides special support services to Alameda County residents who are pregnant and eligible for Medi-Cal. In addition to medical care, CPSP offers prenatal vitamins, health education, nutrition services, help with family, financial and personal problems, and referrals to community agencies. Some sites also offer classes of interest to the pregnant woman and her family.

The goal of the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program is to provide low-income pregnant women with education and support to improve the health of mothers and their babies.
 
Program Eligibility:


You are eligible for this program if you:
  • are a resident of Alameda County and are pregnant and eligible to receive Medi-Cal to pay for their pregnancy care

  • receive prenatal care from a CPSP provider (there are about 30) in Alameda County. For help in finding a provider, see phone and email information below.
 
Program Components:
  • client orientation to prenatal care and CPSP services

  • medical care

  • nutrition services

  • health education services

  • social, personal and financial services
