Positive for COVID-19?

People who test positive and are experiencing mild or moderate symptoms may be eligible for treatment.

Offices of HIV Care & Prevention

The mission is to reduce the rates of new HIV infections; increase the number of county residents who know their HIV status earlier through HIV testing; and linking individuals who are positive into care.

Alameda County Public Health Department

The Alameda County Public Health Department has identified a person with measles infection who dined at the Sons of Liberty restaurant on March 9, 2024, between 4:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Customers in the restaurant during this time may have been exposed to measles and should call the Alameda County Public Health Department as soon as possible at (510)267-3250.

Please note that the identified person did not contract measles from this restaurant and was unaware of their infection at the time.

Mortality Report

Prepared by the Alameda County Public Health Department’s Community Assessment, Planning, and Evaluation (CAPE) unit, this report describes changes in mortality from 2018-2019 to 2020-2021, the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. The report describes growing disparities in life expectancy, and overall mortality by race, ethnicity, and neighborhood poverty. An FAQ document and presentation slides have been created to accompany this report.
