Control Activities

To prevent the spread of pertussis we are encouraging individuals to get the pertussis vaccine or a pertussis booster shot. Alameda County Public Health provides education and recommendations for the public and many types of facilities, such as schools and day/child care centers, among others, on how to prevent illness and manage persons with pertussis.
