2015 Measles Outbreak- Disneyland Exposure
California Department of Public Health declared the Measles Outbreak that originated at Disneyland to be over on April 17, 2015. In total there were 147 people sickened in the U.S. with 131 from California. The majority of the people who became ill were unimmunized.

2015 Alameda County Public Health Department Response

The Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) Department Operating Center (DOC) shifted its response from Ebola planning and response to Measles outbreak response on 1/9/15 and demobilized on 4/3/15.  The DOC coordinated incoming and outgoing situation update, communications & guidance, preparedness, surveillance, disease containment, and prevention, relevant to measles infection in collaboration with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the CDC; Alameda County EMS Agency, regional bay area health departments, local hospitals, healthcare providers, and others.
