Community Assessment, Planning, and Evaluation (CAPE)

The vision of CAPE is that
Everyone in Alameda County, no matter where you live, how much money you make, or the color of your skin, has a healthy, fulfilling and productive life.

The mission of CAPE
CAPE provides information, evaluation, education and technical assistance to programs, community partners, decision makers and residents in order to improve community health and address the root causes of health inequities.

We do this by

  • Monitoring population health and social data
  • Presenting health and social data in a way that is impactful
  • Providing technical assistance for and leading program evaluation
  • Conducting training for youth in public health principles and practices
  • Providing information to support planning and policy advocacy
  • Facilitating the development of HCSA-wide systems for measuring success
  • Planning the development of agency-wide communications
